  • Past board service includes positions on the boards of the American Advertising Federation Kansas City, Kansas City Startup Foundation, Kansas City Women in Technology, Central Exchange's WiSTEMM, and Global Montessori Academy.
  • Volunteer mentor for MECA/Startland, teaching entrepreneurial skills to Kansas City metro students; MVP- certified volunteer in the Shawnee Mission School District and member of two SMSD PTAs.

After graduating from public school in Wichita, Mrs.Haas studied fine arts at Kansas State University, the University of Kansas and JCCC, while working independently to build technology skills at an education startup. Her career in software engineering led to director and executive leadership positions at DST (SS&C), VMLY&R, VinSolutions and Sprint. Mrs. Haas lives in Overland Park with her husband and daughters.

 

District 2 represents the following school districts within Johnson County and a portion of Wyandotte County in county order:

Wyandotte

  • Bonner Springs-Edwardsville USD 204
