The Kansas State Board of Education has established the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Student Screen Time, which will be charged with providing recommendations regarding the use of personal devices in school, screen time and mental health, and parental oversight of district-owned devices.
The task force is comprised of thirty-six members with representatives including Kansas State Board of Education members, superintendents, principals, teachers, students, parents, IT staff, local school board members, and legislators.
Meetings will take place weekly on Thursday from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

An agenda is published in advance of each meeting to notify the public of items the Task Force will discuss. An electronic version of the agenda and supporting materials are available on this page.
All Task Force meetings will occur virtually.
