Applications are now available for the Kansas State Department of Education Association of Educational Office Professionals (KSDE AEOP) Margaret Van Horn Scholarship.
A grant will allow school districts with paid affiliated FCCLA chapters to attend a workshop for free to learn about integrating FCCLA into the Family and Consumer Science (FCS) classroom. It also will provide funding to purchase two national program curriculums, said Pam Lamb, the state FCCLA adviser.

The Kansas State Interagency Coordinating Council invites families, professionals and community partners who support children ages birth to 5 to join the Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) Retreat.
The Kansas Coordinating Council on Early Childhood Developmental Services – more commonly referred to as the State Interagency Coordinating Council (SICC) – will meet from 1-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16.
A full-day workshop focused on structured literacy will be offered at four locations throughout Kansas.
