Deadline approaching to claim Child Tax Care Credit

Households with low or no income across the country can still get federal money with the Child Tax Credit – even if they have never filed taxes before (and haven’t filed taxes this year).

But more than 4 million children nationwide – including 21,000 in Kansas – could miss out on up to $3,600 with the Child Tax Credit if their parent/guardian hasn’t yet filed.

People need to file before Nov. 15 to get funds this year.

You can let your families know more information about this by posting information on your website and social media platforms or by sending information in newsletters.

Outreach materials are available here in 11 languages, including flyers, template emails and texts. Families can be directed to getctc.org/healthfundks to sign up.
