Make plans now to join the Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Child Nutrition and Wellness (CNW) team for the 2023-2024 Jump Start Your Success in School Nutrition Program kick-off event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17 at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library in Topeka.
The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Child Nutrition and Wellness team wants to remind school meal program operators that Sodium Target 1A, as promulgated by the Transitional Standards for Milk, Whole Grains and Sodium – Final Rule, goes into effect July 1 in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) only.
Sponsors serving summer meals through the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) in July and/or August must complete and be approved for school year 2023-2024 operations before July 1.
