The Kansas Parents as Teachers (KPAT) program grant application packet for the 2023-2024 school year is now available online and will be emailed to all current PAT program coordinators, said Lisa Williams, Parents as Teachers consultant for the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE).
In May 2022, the Kansas State Board of Education awarded one-year grants to 63 affiliates throughout the state.
The purpose of the KPAT grant is to provide funds to new or existing KPAT programs that want to provide evidence-based parent education services to Kansas children and families. The grant is intended to support efforts that help each child enter kindergarten at age 5 socially, emotionally and academically prepared for success.
To access the grant application, visit Kansas Parents as Teachers (ksde.org). The online grant applications must be received by 11:59 p.m. Friday, March 10. For more information about the application process, contact Lisa Williams by email at lwilliams@ksde.org or by phone at (785) 296-4964.
