Members from the Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Early Childhood and Child Nutrition and Wellness (Child and Adult Care Food Program – CACFP) teams met Thursday, Dec. 15, to build relationships and learn a little more about the roles each team plays within the agency.
The three-hour meeting kicked off at 11:30 a.m. with introductions. There was a total of 12 people in attendance.
Each team highlighted what they do within the agency and shared resources. Topics included the 2022-2023 Preschool-Aged At-Risk Program requirements and assurances; early learning standards; the Kansas pre-kindergarten guide; upcoming wellness workshops; the Kansans Can Star Recognition Program (kindergarten readiness); and the connections between each team.
