New SAMHSA tool available to help parents, caregivers understand well-being of children

As part of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s new “Talk. They Hear You.” campaign to spread awareness about substance use prevention, a new screening tool Screen4Success helps parents and caregivers understand the well-being of their children.

The tool, accessible through the “Talk. They Hear You.” app, proposes questions about mental and physical health, substance abuse and general well-being.

The tool can help caregivers identify potential areas children may need additional support, enabling opportunities to openly discuss challenges children are experiencing.
