The Kansas early childhood systems-building webinar on July 10 featured presentations about recent updates to two important Kansas early childhood resources.
Natalie McClane, an education program consultant on the KSDE early childhood team, provided an overview of the recently adopted updates to the Kansas Early Learning Standards. Linda Logan, a curriculum and development training specialist at Kansas Child Care Training Opportunities, Inc. (KCCTO), discussed updates to the Kansas Core Competencies for Early Childhood Care and Education Professionals.
Where the Kansas Early Learning Standards tell us what young children should know and be able to do, the Kansas Core Competencies tell us what the adults working with young children should know and be able to do. View the full recording of this webinar to learn more about both resources and their recent updates on the Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund's YouTube page.
The Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund hosts a webinar at 12 p.m. on a Wednesday each month to inform and connect early childhood partners across the state. Visit the Children's Cabinet website to register for future webinars or view past recordings. The next webinar is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 14.
