One bill was passed in the House Chamber and the contents of seven bills were added into SB 387, now referred to as House Sub for SB 387, in the House Committee on K-12 Education Budget during week 10 of the Kansas Legislative Session.
HB 2521
HB 2521 was passed 79-43 in the House Chamber on Thursday, March 14.
The bill authorizes individuals who have completed an alternative teacher certification program to apply for and obtain a restricted teaching license. It would define an alternative teacher certification program to mean a teacher preparation program that:

House Sub for SB 387
House Sub for SB 387 was passed in the Seante 37-3 on Feb. 21. It was then received in the House and referred to the House Committee on K-12 Education budget.
As passed by the Senate, the bill would provide for the continued enrollment of students who attend a school district of non-residence pursuant to the school district open enrollment law.
