Friday, January 5, was the first weekly Educator Data Collection System (EDCS)/Licensed Personnel Report (LPR) training offered via Zoom to help districts and new Licensed Personnel Report Contacts (LPRCS) successfully submit their LPR at the beginning of March.
Each week, Leslie Bruton, data systems coordinator for the Kansas State Department of Education’s Teacher Licensure team, will cover a new topic.
Last week’s session was “EDCS/LPR for Beginners,” and this week’s session is “Rolling Over Data vs. Importing Text Files.” Zoom trainings will be recorded and posted on the KSDE YouTube channel. Links for viewing previous weeks’ videos and for accessing the Zoom links to future meetings will be shared in the LPRC email group.
In-person training opportunities also are available. From 1-4 p.m. Jan. 24, there will be an in-person training at the Nemaha Central USD 115 district office, 318 Main Street, Seneca. Please contact Bruton if you are interested in “hosting” a training in your district.
For questions about upcoming trainings, volunteering to host, or to get your own EDCS/LPR problems solved, contact Bruton by email at lbruton@ksde.org.
