17: 1 p.m., FERPA 101. First session in the KSDE Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Professional Development Webinar Series. The U.S. Department of Education, through the Student Privacy Policy Office’s Privacy Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), will conduct this introductory presentation on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy ACT (FERPA), which is a federal law protecting students’ privacy. The course will focus on using KIDS data, understanding submission types and methods and be more hands-on than in previous years.
