Dec. 20 is the deadline for schools to submit Emergency Safety Intervention Data Collection for reporting period one in the Kansas Integrated Accountability System (KIAS) application.
To submit your building’s ESI data, you must first ensure you have registered to access the KIAS application. Please follow the instructions available on the ESI page of the KSDE website.
Please note that ESI incidents are to be reported on all students, including general education and special education, as well as for all grade levels, including preschool. Further, annual staff training regarding ESI (the use of ESI, the ESI law, documentation, communication, etc.) is required of all districts. For further information on staff training, refer to the ESI training page on the KSDE website for required annual staff training.
For assistance with reporting, more information or questions, contact KSDE’s Trish Backman at tbackman@ksde.org.
