The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Accreditation and Design team recently shared the recording of the monthly Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) update, which took place Tuesday, Nov. 14, via Zoom.
The recording is available here.
Topics included KESA requirements for the 2023-2024 school year, including KESA Learning Year expectations and proposed changes to the accreditation model.
KESA 2.0, which is what the proposed KESA model is being called, will be based on Kansas State Board of Education outcomes; the Four Fundamentals, which include structured literacy; standards alignment; a balanced assessment system and quality instruction; and compliance.
