The KSDE TASN School Mental Health Initiative has announced a self-paced professional development opportunity called Mindfulness and School-Based Yoga: Tools for the Classroom eLearning Course.
Learning objectives include learning why mindfulness and school-based yoga practices improve social-emotional growth outcomes; identifying five elements of mindfulness and school-based yoga to foster whole child/youth development and implementing a mindfulness and school-based yoga practice with a classroom setting.
This is a self-paced class, so apply any time. In recognition of completing the submission requirements prior to Jan. 31, 2024, participants are eligible to receive a Mindfulness and School-Based Yoga card deck at no cost. Card decks include more than 50 practices with image and facilitation instructions.
Complete the registration form to participate. Upon submission, please allow up to three business days to receive a welcome email with enrollment information.
