The Kansas State Department of Education has several Science Regional Professional Learning Communities planned around the state in February 2024.
During the morning sessions of the PLCs, educators will take a deep dive into science standards and then look at how to formatively assess them.
The session also will look at the three dimensions of the science standards and examine appropriate grade-level expectations.
During the afternoon sessions, educators will have a chance to look at their own curriculum and apply the morning’s learning with thought partners.
The cost for events ranges from $25-$35.
