A four-week, text-dependent book study can assist English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) teachers and general education teachers in understanding language acquisition; planning, teaching and assessing English language lessons; and using evidence-based skills and activities.
ELT Basics: A Beginner’s Guide to English Language Teaching will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesdays beginning on Sept. 26. The sessions will end at 8:30 p.m. Other dates are Oct. 3, Oct. 10 and Oct. 17.
Differentiation amongst multilanguage learners will allow them to chart a course for ELT development.
A book will be provided for teachers who join. Graduate hours are also available.
