The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) School Bus Safety Unit has a variety of events planned for the 2023 summer months, said Keith Dreiling, director of the unit.
While the agency’s Summer Academies have been canceled because of low registration numbers, there are plenty of options available for learning, Dreiling said. Events include the School Transportation Safety Conference in Wichita at the end of this month, a train-the-trainer course, and even a Commercial Driver’s License proxy testing and Entry-Level Driving Training theory event.
