The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Accreditation and Design (AD) team will have its next monthly update on the Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 11, on Zoom (register here).
During the April meeting, AD team members will reflect on feedback on the future state of accreditation; discuss where KSDE is heading with it; and look at how systems can establish internal accountability around the work.
The monthly updates began in October to support systems. The updates were scheduled to end this school year with the April 11 Zoom meeting. However, after a positive response, the team has decided to continue the meetings through May, with the last meeting taking place from 9 to 9:45 a.m. May 9. The April 18 and 20 end-of-year webinars have been canceled and replaced with the May 9 meeting.
Previous meeting slides and recordings can be accessed on the AD’s training webpage (here).
The AD team is available to help as systems work through the accreditation process. Team members can be reached via email at accreditation@ksde.org.
