Celebrate National School Lunch Week, Oct. 10-14

National School Lunch Week, created by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, is celebrated Oct. 10-14.

It was established to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

School districts can celebrate with special menus, events and activities with a goal of increasing student participation and spreading a message about healthy, delicious lunches.

For more information, visit About National School Lunch Week - School Nutrition Association.
