With nearly 180 systems going before the Accreditation Review Council (ARC) this school year, reviews of year five systems for Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) need to begin in November.
If you are a school district/system entering year five of KESA, let the Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Accreditation and Design team know when you are having your year five on-site Outside Visitation Team (OVT) visit. A system’s visit date will direct when it is going to be reviewed by the ARC, received by the Kansas State Board of Education and then acted upon for an accreditation determination by the State Board of Education. To let the Accreditation and Design team know of your visit date, email accreditation@ksde.org.
KSDE is encouraging all year five systems to have their visit as early in the school year as possible. The final deadline for systems entering year five of KESA to host an on-site OVT visit is March 31, 2023. As systems set on-site visit dates, please consider scheduling it before March 2023. If you have any questions, contact the Accreditation and Design team at accreditation@ksde.org.
