Applications due Friday, Jan. 12, for KSDE AEOP scholarship

Applications for the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Association of Educational Office Professionals (AEOP) Margaret Van Horn Scholarship must be postmarked by Friday, Jan. 12.

Each year, KSDE AEOP offers a scholarship to a Kansas student. The scholarship program is open to current Kansas high school, college or technical studies students. Applicants must intend to continue their education in an education or business-related program.

The applicant must be enrolled in a minimum of nine semester hours, which is at least half-time, and enrollment must be in an accredited postsecondary educational facility within Kansas.

The scholarship award of $400 is offered for the purchase of books, payment of tuition or fees, purchase of supplies or other academic expenses.

The selection will be based on the scholarship application, initiative exhibited, character shown and/or other factors.

The completed application, with original signature and official transcripts, must be postmarked by Jan. 12.

The 2024 application can be found on the KSDE AEOP website at https://www.ksde.org/AEOP-Page.
