The Kansas State Department of Education is sponsoring a Star regional training on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
There will be a morning and afternoon session for the fall Star regional training. Both options will be three hours and take place at Independence High School, 1301 N. 10th St. in Independence.
This training is for teachers of all levels who use Star Assessments. The morning session will be from 8-11 a.m. The afternoon session will be from noon to 3 p.m.
Training sessions will focus on utilizing key Star Assessment reports and features, including the Nearpod connection, to drive instruction, intervention and enrichment.

Each school that uses Star Assessments has an hour of free customized virtual learning available through the state partnership. Click here to schedule.
A variety of other trainings, including in-person and virtual sessions on utilizing FastBridge to provide interventions in math, using the group screening report in FastBridge and progress monitoring in FastBridge, are also scheduled. Watch the KSDEweekly for more information.
