PACK Act Survey Information

The PACK Act, Sub HB 2466, enrolled effective July 1, 2022, requires that each secondary school operated by a district in Kansas offer a computer science course beginning in the 2023-2024 school year. Please see the act's legislative page at this link: Legislative page for HB 2466.

The Kansas State Department of Education is offering a survey to help support districts in computer science education implementation and to fulfill the PACK Act reporting requirements.

Graduation Requirement Resources

New graduation requirements are set to be in place for the Class of 2028 (current 8th graders). Below are resources for the graduation requirements:

Kansans Can Competency Framework Professional Development Opportunities

KSDE TASN (Kansas Technical Assistance System Network) is offering professional development opportunities to learn more about the Kansans Can Competency Framework.

A variety of trainings are available including:

  • Learn one self-efficacy strategy per week via a 45-minute Zoom series (elementary and secondary strands). FREE
  • Attend virtual Competency Coach Training to expand your instructional coaching skills. FREE
  • Explore assertiveness or self-efficacy instructional activities in virtual 2-hour summer workshops. FREE
  • Hone your instructional skills through 6-week, facilitator-led, online courses (primary, intermediate, and secondary strands). $20 with optional graduate credit for an additional fee.
