Systems entering year 5 of KESA need to report on-site visit

If you are a school district/system entering year five of Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA), let the Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Accreditation and Design team know when you are having your year five on-site visit.

Your visit date will direct when you are going to be reviewed by the Accreditation Review Council (ARC), received by the State Board of Education and then acted upon for an accreditation determination by the State Board of Education. To let the Accreditation and Design team know of your visit date, email accreditation@ksde.org.

KSDE is encouraging all year five systems to have their visit as early in the school year as possible. The final deadline for your visit is March 31, 2023.

With 179 systems going before the ARC this year, KSDE’s Accreditation and Design team’s reviews need to begin in November. As you set your visit date for this year, consider scheduling it before March 2023. If you have any questions, email accreditation@ksde.org
