Commercial Driver’s License proxy testing scheduled in November

Clay County USD 379 will be hosting a one-day Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) proxy testing event on Nov. 7, at Clay County Community High School, 1630 9th Street, in Clay Center. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

Preparation:  
Study the appropriate sections of the Kansas CDL manual (see p. 28 for appropriate sections). CDL handbooks are available at state drivers’ license offices for $2 and online at the Kansas Department of Revenue (KDOR) for free at https://www.ksrevenue.gov/pdf/cdlhandbook.pdf 

Please note

  • After passing the exam, participants must visit a full-service driver's license office to pick up their permits and pay a $13 fee for the permit. 
  • Obtaining Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) Theory and BTW (behind the wheel) training will be the responsibility of the registrant.
