Quarterly meetings scheduled for assistance with completion of Local Consolidated Plans (LCP) to meet federal ESSA requirements

Training sessions have been scheduled for new and veteran administrators responsible for their Local Consolidated Plans (LCP) for special education. These plans are necessary for the completion of federal requirements of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). 

The KSDE Special Education and Title Services (SETS) team and statewide experts will provide timely information and in-depth support with an emphasis on upcoming tasks and special topics as needed. 

Please note the LCP Quarterly #1 sessions will be in-person only. 

 

Tentative agenda 

9–11 a.m. – Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC) – Family and community meaningful engagement 

11 a.m.–12 p.m. - Schoolwide requirements and changes 

12–12:45 p.m. - Lunch 

12:45–2:30 p.m. - LCP Application (envision a live walk through of the application)

  • Migrant 
  • Title IV  
  • Non-Public  
  •  

2:30–3 p.m. - Handbook and updates
