Webinar offered to hear from Kansas high school students about substance use, mental health and other important topics facing teens

The Sunflower Foundation, Kansas Fights Addiction Grant Review Board in the Kansas Attorney General’s Office, and The University of Kansas Center for Public Partnership and Research (KU-CPPR) are hosting a webinar, “Intergenerational Response to Substance Use Prevention,” from noon – 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14.

Kansas high school students and others will be discussing the important work they are doing to reduce substance use, promote positive mental health and create change in their schools and communities.

Kansas education administrators, teachers, students, PTO members, etc., are welcome to participate in the webinar. It is an initiative of United to Transform, a targeted statewide project intended to identify ways to reduce the toll substance use disorders takes on the lives of Kansans. The aim is to expand the understanding of community–level strengths and challenges and recommend well–defined opportunities to align systems and implement innovative solutions.
