Join KSDE in celebrating National School Lunch Week from Oct. 9-13

Are you ready for National School Lunch Week? This celebration runs from Oct. 9-13.

Created by President John F. Kennedy in 1962, National School Lunch Week (NSLW) was established to promote the importance of a healthy school lunch in a child’s life and the impact it has inside and outside of the classroom.

This year’s theme, “Level Up with School Lunch,” highlights the importance of a healthy school lunch to students’ success both in and out of the classroom.

Make sure to share your celebrations on social media platforms with the hashtags #FuelingKSKids and #NSLW23.
