Feature Story

KSDE’s Mentor Programs web application will now open early on Friday, March 24

Mentor Programs, Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) web application, will now open early.

This system will open Friday, March 24, and remain open through May 1. This gives districts an additional week to edit any mentors that were submitted this fall, and to add their mentor/mentee assignments. Those assignments will be screened to determine eligibility for the stipend that is distributed at the end of the school year.

Leslie Bruton, data systems coordinator for KSDE’s Teacher Licensure team, will be sending emails to districts that entered mentor teachers in the fall. The emails will include training documents to help navigate the Mentor Programs system.

Any questions about Mentor Programs or stipend regulations should be directed to Leslie Bruton at lbruton@ksde.org or (785) 296–8011.
