Reminder: 2025 Virtual Health Care Career Day registration open

Registration is open for the 2025 Virtual Health Care Career Day, on Jan. 30, a partnership of the Kansas Hospital Association, Kansas State Department of Education, and Kansas Board of Regents.

Click here to register at no cost and click here for the agenda. This virtual event will be from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Event hosts will send Zoom instructions to participants the week before Jan. 30.

What is the virtual health care career day?

The Kansas Virtual Health Care Career Day takes students inside Kansas hospitals to learn about the many career opportunities available in health care and engage them in real world learning. Various health care providers will deliver insight into career fields including family practice medicine, critical care nursing, behavioral health, occupational therapy, health IT/cybersecurity, respiratory therapy, facilities management, and pharmacy.

Some schools choose to participate through health science classes; others broadcast to an open cafeteria, auditorium, or resource room for all students. Students can also watch from their school-issued digital devices. Join specific segments or attend the full event, whichever works best for your school. Feel free to share the event details with parents, students, school partnerships, and your community.

Career and Technical Education month is in February. This event is a great way to kick off the month by providing students an opportunity to learn more about careers in Kansas’ in-demand industries.

Contact Jaron Caffrey, director of Workforce and Health Care Policy, Kansas Hospital Association, jcaffrey@kha-net.org, or (316) 640-9570 with questions.
