The Accreditation and Design team has started facilitating meetings called KESA Check-ins with systems in the West, Central and Eastern regions of Kansas, as well as with special purpose schools and urban, suburban and private systems.
The purpose of these meetings for 2023-2024 is to create a collaborative relationship and cadence of consistent support with systems, while introducing KESA 2.0 and guiding systems through the transition.
The team has had 23 of these KESA check-ins to date and has enjoyed meeting and interacting with the amazing Kansas educators and looks forward to engaging with systems to support their school improvement through KESA.
Accreditation and Design is also happy to welcome Jean Rush as our East Regional Executive and Mindy Bruce as the Central Regional Executive. East systems will transition from meeting with Jay Scott and Myron Melton to meeting with Jean once we finalize a transition timeline. We will be sure to notify all East systems as to who they will check-in with.
The team looks forward to checking in with all 304 systems currently seeking accreditation through KESA this spring semester. As always, if you have any questions, please contact accreditation@ksde.org.
