It’s crunch time!
The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Child Nutrition and Wellness (CNW) team wants you to participate in the fifth annual Mountain Plains Crunch Off.
Registrants can crunch on not only apples but any local crunchable produce.
Kansas is participating in the Mountain Plains Crunch Off with seven other regional states.
The Kansas goal is 50,000 crunches statewide. The regional goal is 230,000 crunches.
Consider your work group, family members, school, committees, etc., and create an event. Resources for the event can be found at the CNW website/Farm to Plate/What’s New. Resources include a Regional Crunch Off promotional video, toolkit, DIY selfie station and postcards to encourage friends/family to participate.
