LinguaFolio®

LinguaFolio® is an assessment tool for documenting the growth of language skills. It is based on the European Language Portfolio, National Foreign Language Standards, ACTFL Performance guidelines and ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and was developed by members of the National Council of State Supervisors of Languages (NCSSFL).

Advanced Placement Language CoursesUse AP rubrics for performance assessment tasks; can be found in exam guide for each AP language course. Good tool for adding rigor to course expectations.
Avant AssessmentsOnline placement assessments, middle school to college; proficiency assessments, middle school to college; and proficiency assessments designed for elementary grades. Avant's STAMP 4S and STAMP WS are approved assessments for the Seal of Biliteracy.
Consortium for Assessing Performance StandardsIntegrated Performance Assessment tasks and rubrics for all three modes of communication and for novice, intermediate, and advanced proficiency levels. Created by New Jersey teachers.
DELE (Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language)International certification of proficiency level according to European Frameworks (A1, A2, B1, etc.)
DELF (French Tests and Diplomas)International certification of proficiency level according to European Frameworks (A1, A2, B1, etc.)
ELLOPA and SOPA Assessments for Grades PreK-8The ELLOPA (PreK-2) and SOPA (Grades 2-8) are early language proficiency assessments designed to allow students to demonstrate their highest level of performance in speaking (further broken down into oral fluency, grammar, vocabulary) and listening.
Goethe-Zertifikat Deutsch (Use Fit 1, Fit 2, B1)International certification of proficiency level according to European Frameworks (A1, A2, B1, etc.)
Language Testing InternationalOral Proficiency Interview (OPI) and OPIc, the Writing Proficiency Test (WPT), and online Listening tests are based on ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines.
PASCH-netThe Zentralstelle für das Auslandsschulwesen (Central Office for Schools Abroad) sponsors network & provides support for curriculum & assessments. By joining network, teachers receive training to assess Levels 1-4. A KS workshop will be at KSDE May 9 2015
Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI)The Sign Language Proficiency Interview (SLPI:ASL) involves a one-to-one conversation in sign language between an interviewer and candidate/interviewee.
The COPE AssessmentThe COPE was designed for students (Grades 5-8) enrolled in immersion programs. Using an oral interview/role play technique with two students at a time, the COPE measures students’ ability to interact with others in a second language.
