The online application for submission and management of Targeted Improvement Plans is scheduled to open April 22nd, 2013 and close June 14, 2013. The online application is housed on the KSDE Authenticated Application System website.

To make this as smooth a process as possible please:

1. Find your USD listed on the TIP Director & Contact List sent 3/28 and verify the information shown is correct – Name, Email Address and Access Level. (NOTE: If you can no longer locate the TIP DIRECTOR & CONTACT LIST sent via email on 3/28 please contact Karen)
   • Yes, information is correct for my LEA.
   • No, please make the following changes (add/delete): Ex.: Add Jane Doe as a contact for USD 123 with DOU access level - email address is jdoe@usd123.org
   Please reply to Karen Maddox at kmaddox@ksde.org as soon as possible.


2. Anyone entering information into the TIP application will need to be a registered user by going to https://online.ksde.org/authentication/login.aspx. This is the same site used for many other KSDE applications. If you need help registering for access to the IDEA LEA Targeted Improvement Plan through the KSDE Authenticated Application System please contact Karen McClintock at 785-296-7935 or email helpdesk@ksde.org.


3. The KSDE Directory Update application will also need to be updated if you have any changes in the “Director, Special Education Services” or the “Targeted Improvement Plan Contact” positions. We have noticed that many of your TIP contact fields are blank. KSDE cannot enter or make changes to your Directory, only your Board Clerk or Superintendent can. If assistance is needed in updating your Directory please contact Karen Maddox at kmaddox@ksde.org or Karen McClintock.
